Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you thankful for? Family? Friends? Health? A place to live and enough to eat? Most of us have everything we need and more. Be sure  and take time to give of yourself to someone who isn't as fortunate. You'll both receive a blessing!
It was just the two of us for Thanksgiving, so we spent a quiet day doing what makes us happy...sort of a mini-break from the regular routine. Mr Wazoo planted some winter hardy ornamental kale in the pots where the warm weather display bit the dust, and cut back the plants in the garden and then mulched everything. When he pulled out the sweet potato vines, he found these...gigantic sweet potatoes! Yikes!
No, we didn't try to eat them.
I watched the Macy's parade, the dog show and two chick flicks on the Hallmark Channel. Of course, I also made a pecan pie, cooked the turkey we brined overnight, roasted some root vegetables, made mashed potatoes, gravy and rolls. I also hand sewed the bindings on five customer quilts! Yippee!

Number one of two customer quilts for grandkids

Number two of the tee shirt quilts

Number  three for the customer who brought us the six Christmas gift quilts
Number four for the same customer
Number four is also two sided! How cool is that?
You saw the other tee shirt quilts a couple of days ago. The customer decided she wanted them bound, too. I did one last night, and the other today.
Tomorrow, Mr Wazoo is actually going out at 6 A.M. to get something at Home Depot's black Friday sale. I have never known him to do this, but as long as he's going, I'm having him pick up the flowers for the guild luncheon. Then, all he has to do is keep them alive a couple of weeks. Better him than me!
Mr Wazoo is really getting good on the Gammill. He has done a bunch of quilts this week without a grumble or fuss. It's close to the end of November and he is once again flirting with being employee of the month!

Ding! went the timer. Dinner is ready. Mmmmmm...turkey!

I hope your holiday was wonderful, too.
